Brief
St James wanted a film showcasing the interior design of their White City Living development, told through the eyes of the designer behind it. We filmed Sally from Abode Interiors as she walked us through the luxury elements she brought to the apartment, from bespoke carpentry and earthy colour palettes to bold accents and a stunning dressing room.
Description
The interview was completely unscripted, giving us natural, honest soundbites that carried the narrative of the film. We filmed the entire apartment both with and without Sally, giving us a rich bank of b-roll to cut around. For the interview setup we used a large soft keylight to flatter Sally on camera, a hair light to separate her from the background, and lit the rear wall to enhance the natural light already flooding the space. The b-camera was elevated to frame the furniture Sally had chosen rather than the walls and windows, keeping the focus firmly on the design details that made the apartment special.
